About Me
My name is Eryn Reeder and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker:

I am a California native who has resided in the Bay Area for over a decade. I have worked in the social services industry for 12+ years in support of social justice and access to mental health care. I have an extensive and eclectic professional background in the areas of:

• community based crisis intervention
• youth development
• school counseling
• trauma support
• behavioral planning
• residential treatment
• individual and group therapy

Since completing my Masters in social work at California State University East Bay, in 2009, I have continuously developed my skills in the areas of clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention. I continuously strive to build a firm and supportive working relationship with every client that I am fortunate to make contact with.

I utilize a strengths based perspective when interacting with clients, and integrate various modalities into my practices. I have a strong belief, that our thoughts control our actions, therefore I strongly ascribe to the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness to combat the causes of depression and anxiety. I tend to lean towards strategies based on Strategic and solution focused approaches for combating issues related to life choices (e.g. Financial, academic, or professional decisions).

In my free time, I love to travel, write poetry, read novels, tackle diy craft projects, attend concerts, try out new restaurants, and spend time with son and extended family.I enjoy interacting and engaging with individuals from all walks off life. I do not discriminate based on sexual orientation, gender, socio-economic status or intellectual ability. I believe that we all deserve to be heard and that we all have the potential to live up to our purpose.
